"Satin Doll" (These words are from Dale's heart to Meggie. I just wrote them down.) Meggie, Wee Meggie Meggie, wee Meggie, where are you going? What business do you have to do? Catching toys that go squeak and some that are fuzzy and some that are just right to chew? Meggie, wee Meggie, why are you barking? What is it you see out the window? A kitten, a birdie, a leaf blowing sideways, a snowflake, a child you don't know? Come Meggie, wee Meggie, and sit by my side, and we'll talk about things great and small. Your little dog comments will be so exciting, I can't wait to hear of them all! Come Meggie, wee Meggie, and cuddle and warm me, and tell all your secrets to me. Of long naps and play times with Sammie, your buddy, of places you've heard of and seen. Meggie, wee Meggie, a bundle so tiny, so loving, so sweet and delightful. How lucky to find you and have you to hold, and share moments both joyous and frightful. I'll tell you, sweet Meggie, that you're such a blessing and bring so much love to my world. You brighten my daytimes and comfort my nighttimes and do funny things, you sweet girl. I'll tell you, sweet Meggie, you entered my life when I needed your bright, sunny love. I'll always be thankful and know you were sent just for me from the Good Lord above. with much love Jeanette McBride 2/10/01
