1970 SL350-K0 Motosport

This site is about my latest project. A rebuild of a 1970 Honda SL350 motorcycle. On this site I will list general information about the Honda SL350 as well as keep a running diary of the rebuild of this bike as it progresses. I would like to hear from others who are interested in the SL350 as well as the other Honda 350 twins from the late 60's and early 70's.

This project started out when I wanted something to do in the evenings besides watching TV! I have been an avid motorcyclist since 1980, and have owned a number of different street bikes beginning with a 1970 Suzuki T250. My last road bike was a 1995 Kawasaki Concours (1000cc). I am currently riding a 2001 Honda XR250R on both the street and off road in the Arizona Desert. All these bikes have been purchased either new or in very good condition. This is my first attempt at "reconstructing" a very neglected and worn out motorcycle!

I am calling this a "reconstruction" rather than a restoration project. Since this is my first attempt at this sort of thing, I don't think it will come out good enough to be considered a  restoration. I am also going to rebuild the bike with some pieces from other Honda 350 models so it won't be a true restoration from a parts sense either.

Please feel free to leave me email with comments and suggestions about both this site and the actual project bike,as I'm new at both web page and motorcycle construction!
