Brian in New Zealand (SLR3)has a really nice K1 model SL that he has owned for the last 15 years. Check out the pictures of the bike as he used to race it in off-road events!

"Photo on left is from when I took the 350 racing. My sons' mate had heard of a race meeting coming up (in Hamilton, New Zealand) about 100 K from where we live. He told us that the guys I would race against were mostly old farmers riding their farm bikes. Right, I thought, I'm into this....When we got there they were all on new fancy motocross bikes. Race one ended with me in a swamp and in race two I was dicing with this guy on an XR250 for last place. I finished 2nd to last (he broke down), but I'll tell you what, NOBODY had a more awesome day than I did. It was just unforgettable!!! (Notice the hi tech riding gear)"

Brian now has the bike restored to it's original factory appearance. Very nice!

Michael (SLR2) in Florida just picked up this great running K1 model for a great price. He is trying to decide how he wants to restore it....back to stock...supermotard.....TT style....It will be fun to see what he does with it!
