Congratulations to some high-achieving high school seniors! Four Massachusetts seniors, Benjamin Arthur Sena of Winthrop High School, Jenny Shen of Canton High School, Joshua Curtis of Smith Academy, and Jeffrey Lim of Arlington High School are this yearŐs recipients of the ATMIM Achievement Award. Each received a United States Savings Bond and an engraved plaque recognizing the achievement. ATMIM gives another award each year to a high-achieving female student in memory of the 1985 Presidential Award winner, teacher, and ATMIM board member Anne Elliot Smith. This yearŐs Anne Elliot Smith Award was given to Ruby Lee from Shrewsbury High School. Ruby also received a savings bond and plaque. Congratulations to all awardees for their extremely impressive work in mathematics. Comments, questions, and suggestions regarding the web site of the Association of Teachers of Mathematics in Massachusetts are most welcome. Please direct them to William Bowdish. |
