Note that the input has no switching, the + 12 volts comes in straight to a MBR 1645 Schottky diode for reverse polarity protection. I got this from "Supertronics", probably available other places too.They are rated for 40 amps and must be isolated if you mount it by its tab. I just let it stand on its leads.
