EME DN07uf to CN87ua

Hi All,
This is a report of what I received from W6IFE operating on 10368.200 MHz
using the 40 meters telescope at the Owens Valley Radio Observatory. The
operation was conducted by Chuck, WA6EXV on August 5, 2006. I had to wait
until 0240z due to the moon being low and a tree line in the direction of the
moon window. When the moon came into view, I peaked my 10 foot TVRO dish on
moon noise, and there was W6IFE signal. I centered his signal on 750 Hz on
the waterfall.
Bob, W7PUA has a neat little DOS program for viewing the LTI data and saving
the resulting screen, shown below.

I used the DSP-10 LTI mode to save 50 data bins every two minutes. Picture
E8050300 shows the signal on the waterfall over a period of time. The ELT805_A
picture is what was received in a two minute period. The signal I am receiving
is 2 seconds of signal and 3 seconds of moon noise, repeated every 5 seconds.
The 3 seconds of moon noise, added to the 2 seconds of signal, deteriorated the
S/N.

After 0300z W6IFE signal was intermitent. It was an interesting test and I
hope to have another opportunity when the moon is a little higher.

73, Ernie W7LHL.
