CURRENT RENEGADE NEWS

Well the reunion / dance was just great.  Everyone had a fantastic time.  We played some

old songs, danced, reminisced with old friends, and hopefully made some new ones.

There were about 120 people that came to the reunion.  Some old members of the band

showed up, and we got to visit and see them after all these years.  "Will we be doing this

again soon?" , was one of the questions that was asked throughout the night.  Maybe, if we

can pull it off, we will have another reunion sometime in the future, and this time open it

up to the public.  Only time will tell!  We had several sources video taping it, and a

reel-to-reel tape of all the songs that were performed.  We were supposed to play from

7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, but it lasted until almost 11:30 PM.  Again thanks to all who attended

and made that night very special to all the members of the band, and their families.

                                                          A SPECIAL NOTE FROM MICKEY:

The response to the Renegades Reunion was so fantastic that all of us are now planning

another reunion possibly for sometime in the future.  I have had at least 25 phone calls

and e-mails from people who attended the reunion pleading with me to "do it again soon".

The Sunday after the reunion I had around 15 people at my house still "UP" from the night

before.  I can't explain why it was such a success, but it took all the guys in the band several

days before we "came back to reality".  A special thanks goes out to my very good friend and

computer buddy Howie Schultz who sat in for 2 songs (and also designed this website),

along with Bob Hirschi who got up and sang with us.  Another very special thanks to Paul

Heimerl, who became our drummer at the last minute when Paul R. couldn't make it.

He did an excellent job for such short notice.  The most important thanks of all goes out to

my wife, who has put up with my practicing and off-key singing the past several months in

order for me to get ready for it.  As everyone at the reunion will tell you, she was the "Life

of the Party".  I have been in touch with some old band members and very close friends

from years ago.  The reunion has reunited me with some very special people from the past

that I never would  have believed I would ever see or hear from again.  Thanks to my very

best friend and brother Big Lou,  and to Denny who really made the night a total success

by coming from Crandon to reunite with us, and to Paul Heimerl who saved the reunion for

us, and especially to Dick.  Without Dick's nagging me about doing it for the past 20 years,

it never would have happened.  Dick is also like a brother to me.  We have been close for

almost 40 years.

To all our family, friends, and fans. . . . . . . SEE YOU AT THE NEXT ONE.

                                                                                 Mickey
