ERALD is maintained by me, Carma Paden, homeschooling mom of three & wife of 17 years. As a self-professed information junkie & literature abuser, the size of Favorites in my web browser threatened to crash the machine every time we logged on. So I downloaded the Favorites, put them into a semblance of order (hey, at least it's better than my usual don't-worry-I-know-right-where-it-is method of finding things), & uploaded them onto the net for you, my faithful viewing audience. Before long, I realized that I was giving people (frequently newbies on the homeschooling lists I haunt) the same advice about the same products over & over, & it dawned on me that it might be a better use of my time to get those opinions formatted & uploaded too.

s my website got bigger & better, it seemed a shame not to "go pro" as it were, as the simple "Carma's Corner" became too small a venue. And so the HERALD website of links, book & curriculum reviews, & various other resources was born. It seems to be a fitting exercise for someone who has always been known as the friend who has a book - or, more often, 3 or 4 books, plus a half dozen websites - to recommend. Besides, creating & maintaining a website is way cool & I get to use some of my old editing & publishing skills before they rust right out of my brain! I hope that my addiction to finding new things on the net will benefit some of you out there in netland.
