1837

Built in Liverpool at the Humble & Milcrest yard and the first two funelled steamer to cross the Atlantic. The ship was 1150 tons and made seven Liverpool to New York voyages. Was sold to P&O Line in 1840 and renamed "Great Liverpool". It was wrecked in 1846. [08]
