LAST DAYS BY ROUTE
In 1945, Liverpool City Council adopted a policy of conversion of the tram system to bus operation over a ten year period. A major influence on the order chosen for the routes was the condition of the tram tracks. The program which was drawn up in 1948 was closely adhered to in the actual closure record below.
