Situated in the pastoral setting of an 1890's farm estate, the studio of ceramic artist Dawn Soltysiak is located in an authentically restored barn. Specializing in unique firing techniques, Dawn creates functional bowls, as well as unique decorative vases and sculptures. She hand-mixes glazes to add luster to the surface of her Raku-fired work, and enjoys the interplay of fire and clay in the primitive pit-fired and smoke-fired methods. Khnemu studio is a place of creation offering pottery classes , Pit firing and Raku firing workshops, children's pottery classes, open studio opportunity and the art studio/gallery where pottery and ceramic sculptures created at the studio are available to view and purchase.

Khnemu Studio is open May-November Wednesday-Sunday 10am-5pm-Classes and gallery are open year-round by appointment

Khnemu Studio is a member of Blue Coast Artists . A group of West Michigan artist's studios and galleries, located along the Lake Michigan shoreline between Saugatuck and South Haven. The artists specialize in various media including glass blowing, stoneware pottery, flame-worked glass beads, hand-made paper, pastel and oil painting, and more. 2004 is Blue Coast's 15th year as a group of artists. They offer different events including the fall tour of studios.
